Brett Tiemann, CPA,

EVP, Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

NMLS # 662913

Brett Tiemann’s parents instilled in him a strong work ethic and a love of reading at an early age. Growing up on a farm near Jacksonville, Illinois, with two brothers and a sister, Brett’s father worked as a farmer, auctioneer, and realtor — “which meant we rose early and worked late,” he laughs.

Encouraged by his family and teachers, Brett developed a passion for accounting and finance during high school. He graduated magna cum laude from Illinois College in 1989 with a degree in accounting and went on to earn his CPA designation. Brett began his career with CPA and consulting firm RSM, where he served as a financial auditor for small businesses and financial institutions before moving into the firm’s financial consulting division to perform business valuations and financial modeling for clients.

In 2001, Brett joined INB as Chief Financial Officer. In his role, he enjoys working directly with employees and customers as the bank develops and delivers innovative products and services to help improve the financial lives of its customers.

A dedicated supporter of the Central Illinois community, Brett has been active with the United Way and currently serves on the Board of the Illinois Bankers Association.

Brett is married to Joann, a retired realtor. They have two sons: Devin, who is in his final year of obtaining a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Miami, and Drew, who serves in the Illinois Air National Guard while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business.

Outside of work, Brett enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and analyzing investments. He feels fortunate to have built a career he is passionate about and values the opportunity to make a meaningful difference — both professionally and personally.
